Orca Leather Jacket

This black crocodile-embossed leather jacket, meticulously crafted in New York by Gustavo, a dedicated seamster collaborating closely with Yosh, brings the designer's sketches and concepts to life. The jacket made its debut during New York Fashion Week in 2021, originally showcased in a yellow-green color scheme. Its cropped waist and strategically placed darts on the flared sleeves shape the leather around the elbows and mid-back, ensuring a snug fit in the shoulders and biceps while maintaining a more relaxed fit around the waist.

Our primary objective in this project was to delve into the interplay of structure and movement. By photographing Eva in motion, we sought to understand how the garments responded to her active poses.

Chanel applied a natural makeup style to Eva for the shoot, enhancing her look with a subtle touch of smokey eye, mascara, and just a hint of blush. As for Eva's hair, Chanel created a sleek, modern wet look.

Tailored black denim shorts, complete with functional gunmetal grommets and layered flap elements on the sides, create the illusion of layered armor. Named 'Diablo,' meaning 'devil' in Spanish, these shorts brought to mind the chapettes worn by Mexican bull riders, according to Yosh's vision.
